I'm splicing two frames together to get a longer wheel base. The front will be from a 1995 Caprice and the other is as yet unidentified. I could use another Caprice sedan, but I need a side fill fuel tank so am wondering if the wagon has the same frame dimensions? So far I haven't been finding any good frame specs for the mid-nineties Caprice, sedan or wagon. I know the track is different between the two, but what about the frame width? Also, is the Buick Roadmaster using the same frame? Any knowledge would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the info. Hard to find a Fleetwood that's affordable and there are other issues as well. Still hoping someone has a good link to frame widths for Caprice sedan and wagon. Also, I think Buick Roadmaster would be the same frame.

The B-body wagons have a slightly wider frame and axle at the rear than the sedans. Same wheelbase, though.

Sedans: Caprice, Impala SS, Roadmaster
Wagons: Caprice, Roadmaster, Olds Custom Cruiser

The Fleetwood is a D-body.
