Is there a dash indicator light in the speedo cluster that lights up when you have your high beams on for a 1960?

I thought that the chevy emblem in the center lit up blue.

Is there a light bulb socket for it?

There is a socket for the high beam indicator, I have attached a picture of the back of mine showing the location of the socket also a picture of the Assembly Manuals drawing of the back of the speedo.
This orientation is viewed from the back of the unit. “A” & “B”, Gray – Instrument lights----- “C”, Dark blue – RH directional lamp ------- “D”, Light blue – LH directional lamp ------ “E”, Light green – Upper beam lamp. Hopes that this helps. Lamar

That is awesome.

Did you use a red bulb or is the lens painted red?

The bulb is a clear #53 so the lens must be red, here's a link for bulbs and fuses, I’m not sure how accurate that this is but it is what I went by.

I think all dash bulbs are white in colour and a lens is used as the colour.
