I am switching my 60 Impala to CCP 500 steering box. My question is are the old power steering parts worth anything? They are in pretty good condition. Are people looking for steering parts?

In switching to a PS gear like the 500, the PS parts you will remove are:

Center link, valve, cylinder, cylinder shaft frame bracket, hose clamps (a one-piece and a two-piece), and the manual steering gear (it has a different ratio than a non-power steering car).

If all are in excellent condition expect to get $100-$200. Less if parts are mangled, rusty, missing.

Parts you may need are upper control arms (the ones with the extra + caster), and a hefty front sway bar. New alignment specs come w/the new parts.
