Does anyone have an original turn signal plug that goes to the switch? Whoever wired my 59 had all of those wires cut and they are an aftermarket harness but the wires there are not labeled. I am trying to figure out the order the wires are in on the plug. I have all of the diagrams but the one actually shows the shape of the connector is so jumbled you really can't tell what is going where.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks!!

I have attached a picture of the original plug on my ’60 Impala but I think that the plugs should be the same for ‘59. Hope that this will help, if you need some other pictures let me know. Lamar

On the original switch connector the order is as follows:
Lt. Blue-left front lamp and dash indicator, Dk. Blu-Right front lamp and dash indicator, Violet-right rear signal and brake light, Pink-left rear signal and brake light, White-Stop light switch, Yellow-turn signal flasher. Hope this helps

You are welcome, glad that I can help with a question instead of asking them all of the time. Chair City's colors are correct unlike mine on the drawing Lamar

I bought a new turn signal switch from one of the main suppliers, but when I pushed the terminal block onto it, it tended to push the spade terminals through the switch, rendering the switch inoperative. After several attempts I gave up, & cleaned the old switch up.

I bought one from Late Great Chevy and when you put the screw in to hold the cable in place it doesn't actually tighten on it. Cable just pulls back out. I am forced to clean mine up as well, lucky I have 2 just in case.
