Has anyone here put 17" Wheels and tires on their 5th gen EL Camino? I am thinking about a set of US Wheel Sport Mag (17x5x4.75x7.00 wide x 4.00 backspacing). Wondering about spacing and fit issues. Thanks.

In response to 1984 El Camino

I have 16 inch wheels on my '78 and I've seen larger. Not sure of the back spacing, but they are the same as IROC Camaro front wheels. I ran IROC wheels for a while but the tires did rub in the front on bumps occasionally. I bought Budniks and got the fronts a little narrower and that solved that.

Some days it's not worth chewing through the restraints.
