This should be easy. The interior of my truck is damn near flawless (Seats, headliner, dash, etc) except the interior sun shades. They flip fine, but the material is falling apart and the lights no longer work. Checked LMC and they do not carry. Is there someone out there that will reupholster the two shades, replace the elastic strap and get the lights working.
Or is this something you can still purchase from the General ? Thanks in advance.

Funny, I've been wondering the same thing off/on for my 94 K Blazer. I too had checked LMC, was going to stop by a local auto upholstery shop one of these days. It would be nice to just be able to order some. I'll be watching this post. Good luck.

LMC has them. In true LMC fashion, they're grossly over priced. Search for visor.

As far as reupholstering, I haven't found a shop yet that will do the ones with the mirror. The mirror frame is plastic-welded, I think, and they have to break it to remove it. Last one I did the mirrors didn't mean much to me so I just had them remove the mirrors and reupholster the visors without them.

Thanks for the response(s). I did see the page on LMC with sun shades, but they look nothing like what I have now (maybe it is just the pictures). I could live without the mirrors.

I did purchase two sun shades from LMC for a 1984 S10 I am also working on, and when they arrived, they looked nothing like the stock ones and were extremely difficult to get on the metal stalks. I decided to keep them as they were still a vast improvement over what I had.I am sure if I purchased their headliner everything would match.

WIS Headliners looks like the way to go.
After looking over their website, you mail them your old sun visors, and they recover and repair them to brand new. Exact match on material.
Then return them.
I had a Buick Grand National for years and there was a place in Wisconsin that did the same service. It worked out well.
I will keep everyone posted. Thanks again.
