what gauge sheet metal is best to use in patch repair? I have 20 gauge but it seems a little heavy, was thinking of using 22. Anybody have any input? I'm not patching floor pans. thanks, jim

20 gauge is actually a little thin, but it works well for me for the most part.

Most car bodies are made from 19 gauge, which is not usually stocked at most sources.
