I have an after market air conditioner set up in my 39. I need to recharge the system. The quick connect hose that I have won't fit the low pressure outlet on the compressor. Do they make different quick connect fittings? Never run to this problem before.

Maybe it is the high side fitting? Which won't fit the low side. or you are using old style r12 fittings?

Thanks Shepard. I'll try that. Don't know if I'm trying to use an old R-12 fitting. I'll check.

Buddy,

I have an R12 gauge set that I also use on our R134 cars. All it took to be able to do that was an inexpensive adapter set from O'Reilly Auto Parts.
