I'm in the middle of teaching a defensive driving class at FedEx. and I made a comment to one of the kids about "a date that will live in infamy"...had no clue...I asked him if he knew what Dec 7 1941 was...nope...sadly, more and more people don't know or care...I'll never forget

Ask what school(s) those kids went to and find out why this isn't being taught in US history classes.

Perhaps IF there were a video game of the attack on 12-7-1941, and the ultimate response that lead to the surrender of Japan on 8-15-1945, this younger generation "might" know more about it. I grew up in a military family, so things of this nature were ALWAYS at the forefront with ceremonies honoring the dates, and those who served, were wounded, or killed. My flag is currently halfway up the pole. I am Butcyh/56sedandelivery.

I found no mention of the date in the morning newspaper. I could have missed something but it would have had to be real small

History, in general, should never be forgotten. 12/7/1941 is one event that every American should know about.

The US flag on City Hall (San Francisco) was at half mast yesterday.
