Im 5.3 swapping my gutted 93 chevy silverado z71. The parts truck is was my daily 99 silverado 4x4 until this past monday. Im just doing a write up on it if anybody is interested in the ls swap on a budget.

Sure, I think a write-up would be great. It's not a subject that gets covered a lot here, though plenty of people are LS-swapping the 88-98 trucks. There's plenty of gotchas but it's definitely a worthy effort to repower these trucks once the old small blocks get long in the tooth.

today I started pulling the harness from my doner truck, Im starting at the rear, pulling the tail light harnesses out and marking them left and right rear. Then I started pulling the bed off to get to the harness grounds on top of the frame out but it started to rain, (41° in texas + rain calls for a trip to the heater.) I will continue pulling the harness tommorow. If you are wondering why im pulling the whole thing, from the snooter to the pooter, its because im using the whole thing. I will cross bridges when i get to them.
