Finally...after several years, the power-glide and engine have joined back together and is almost ready to be reinstalled in the 54. I spent the part of evening last night running between 3 locations I have parts stored, locating this piece here and that piece there. We moved in middle of my restoration and some parts got moved in certain boxes, certain parts didn't for various reasons....AMAZINGLY all parts Ive needed so far have been able to be located!!

What I was wondering is....What part that you may need, or know of, that you wish was still made, or that someone made it....Whats that one part you need or know of that would make your world just a little more complete?

For me it would be the front and rear bumper pans that seal the body to the bumpers....mine have cancer pretty bad.....and possibly fenders.

54 Belair 4 door. Auto.

Put together a piece at a time....twice.

If GM had as hard a time finding parts as I do they would have been out of business years ago.

Most of the repair panels available cover the most common rusted out areas. What happened to all the replacement panels that used to be around for collision repair? Scrapped more than likely. Some do appear on Ebay once in a great while.

It was gonna be a dome light for my '53 convertible, but after much searching I found GM used the same one for Buick convertibles and they were being reproduced.
