Can someone tell me what size the fresh air ducts are on a 1953-54 car? Four inches or 5 inches? Thanks

If I recall correctly 4" is too small, they're probably closer to 4 1/4". I'd have to verify that though.

I also think they are 4&1/4". But it's too cold to go measure right now.
1953 210 Convertible, 261 with dual Carter YF 966S carbs, P.S., Remote Bendix P.B. Booster... shade-tree restoration about done.

What I am trying to determine is what make of GM car has a 5 1/4" fresh air duct. I have a set of skirts, like in group 8.153, that attach to either side of the radiator. The hole w/screen is exactly one inch larger than the one for a 1949-50. These panels had a GM tag attached, but the part number came up as a carpet option for a 1964 Oldsmobile Delta station wagon. So. what GM car, late 40's or early 50's has a 5 1/4" fresh air duct? Any ideas?
