Our trucks accelerator has holes in it, so a screw can fit through to connect a cable stopper to it.

But how do we go about installing it?

And what parts do we need besides the stopper and the cable itself?

For that you'll need the shop manual and the assembly manual for your year of truck. Now they're not going to tell you outright how to install one so you'll need to look at the pictures and get your own idea. As for parts, well, I don't think you'll be finding those in any catalog or parts stores. Your best bet will be to do some "junkyard fishing" and look at the big C-60 series trucks from the 60's and early 70's.
