The capacitors in my '55 Belair's stock radio need replacing. There are several shops on the internet. I really don't know which one to go with. Can you gents give me some recommendations? Thanks.

I'm amazed there isn't someone locally who could help. Keep looking. An internet shop w/o multiple solid revues could be risky.

Are you intent on keeping the stock vibrator and tubes? If that isn't a must, there are outfits which can install modern innards in your existing case and keep it stock looking on the outside.

The best radio guy in the country is:

Gene Edwards: Chattanooga TN

Phone# - I can give phone # via private message

He has a complete inventory of NOS tubes capacitors
and GM vintage equipment to get any GM radio back to great working order!

He got my original 55 AM JAMS back to its ORIGINAL tubular glory!

👍👌
P.S. He re-cones speakers too!

Had my ‘55 stock radio up-graded 4yrs ago near Pismo by:

Bob’s Radio & TV
1414 So. 4th. St.
Oceano, CA 93445
809–489-8200
www.bobsradio.com

My radio now has AM/FM and iPad pigtail. OR, just have him do a complete radio repair. Good service too.
