ok, old C10 is leaking coolant.
1965 Chevrolet C10
1992 5.7L / 350 chevy truck engine / with screw through valve covers
I crawled around and probed, examined...
coolant is dripping off of the big hose from the water pump to the bottom of the radiator.
so, I am looking at the hose to see if it has burst or something, but the coolant is running down the bottom/back side of the hose, I trace it up and it seems to be wet above the hose as well. HMMN.
I am thinking, the weep hole in the water pump. I can't see and actual drip tho'. The top of the harmonic balancer looks wet tho' and cool has been slung all over the underside of the hood and engine compartment. The amount of coolant is a lot, not quite pouring, but lots of coolant and plenty of drip drip dripping action.
So, I'm guessing I will be swapping out a water pump this weekend.
Open to any idears of other things to check.
Just wanted someone to check my thinking, maybe I'm missing something else to check. grin
