Working on my 64 Belair with power assist steering & didnt see any info in a search.

I was replacing the control unit last weekend & noticed play in the pitman arm side of my gear box. After looking at a few rebuild kits Im not seeing the geared shafts available.

Not sure if the kits will fix the issue or am I doomed to replace the box itself?

Hey mate.
What movement are you seeing? Side to side movement or up down on the shaft. I know you can buy a rebuild kit that has the bushings in it which may be your problem if its side to side movement.
If it's up down type movement then it may need a slight adjustment. Or if your adjusting bolt is worn where it slots into the sector shaft, this will give you up down movement also.
In saying that I thought I had seen new sector shafts and worm gears etc while surfing the web for box parts.
Jason.

Its side to side play & not sure how long its been that way. I put the motor in 2014 & reworked the suspension back in 2010. With it having air ride i shake the front in down at least every 2 months.

Im hoping its just the bushing & pitman shaft seal

Have a crack at new bushings and seals. They're not that exy. If the sector gear shaft is worn too much and you're still getting excessive movement make your next decision.
Jason
