I actually trust the US Postal Service more.

Although that was not one of your options, lol.

I think some of the parcels I've received over the years, from both Fed-Ex and UPS, must have been on those planes and semi's being hit by trains (YUK YUK!!!). I recently sent out a box containing 2 dual quad SBC intake manifolds, and 3 carburetors; they were double boxed, heavily padded, and the box weighed in at 80 lbs. I'm happy to report it arrived in good shape, no damage inside, and just as importantly, outside! This was a UPS shipment through a UPS Store that's local to me. Maybe it's the start of a trend? I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

So are you saying I shouldn't ship via FedEx, or I shouldn't travel by train?

Ray

Those who choose an automatic transmission want transportation. Those who choose a manual transmission want to drive.

I am a retired Teamster.
I don't use Federal Express.
UPS or USPS.
Next day Air or Priority Mail.

So you do use FedEx Express...we provide about 3 million lbs of lift for Express and Priority mail per night.

For those who wonder, here’s a link to the train story last January. Lights were flashing, but the ice and snow caused the gates to malfunction.

I did not know that and have no problem with it.
I'm just saying I use U.P.S. whenever I can.
My company funded Teamsters Pension is paying the bills,
so to do otherwise would be hypocritical
Plus I'm supporting my union brothers and sisters
as they work towards their retirements.
ALSO
I use the USPS to support my postman a gulf war veteran
who works hard and takes a lot of poop from an idiot postmaster
who keeps messing with the routes and gumming up the works.
I used to get it around noon time,
then she added a large development
to the route.
My mail just came at 7:17 pm.
