Hello. I'm looking for metal door lock pins. I want to mount little skull valve stem caps on the tops for a cool effect to my hot rod. I keep breaking plastic ones, so I'm looking for metal ones. Are all door lock pins the same; and by that I mean will the metal Mercedes ones work for my purpose?
Anyone have any cool suggestions?
Thanks

Hi Hand123, Probably not as ours are imperial thread and the Mercedes will be metric thread.
Try the aftermarket on e-bay, once you find out what thread ours are.

I have a whole drawer full of Metal ones.
I'll check the fitment on my '49 if you want.

They do make Skull Pulls done, though.

Unfortunately, I believe these are chromed plastic. I'll keep searching. Thank you.

Yes, please let me know about what you have.

I bought something like these, but the posts were thin plastic and kept breaking. Which is why I'm looking to create a metal solution.

If you can't find metal ones, get some metal tubing and glue it over the posts, they also have threaded metal tubing, cut the posts off drill into skull glue in posts ?

These work great and you can attach a topper of your choice.
