I need your feed back/experience
I'm still looking for a high quality automotive code scanner, diagnostic tool , that will function on the older c4 corvettes all the way up to the current new cars, I'm looking for a lap top software type scan tool, with a connector cable and lap top compatible software , that can be upgraded too stay current, that I can use too,
locate isolate, watch the data in real time, and if required change software that plugs into a OBDII port on the cars I work on!
if you have experience using some thing similar I'd sure like to hear from you about your experiences , pointing out the strong points,
ease of use and flaws you see, the price you paid, and general impressions you have after using the tools or software you use,
the scan tool I currently own is no longer supported and was discontinued a few years ago.. there have obviously been HUGE advancements in the last decade so finding an improved tool should be rather easy, but because these tools tend to be rather expensive I really don,t want to make a bad choice limiting me in what I can do, so Id really appreciate some input from the more experienced corvette, mechanics and programmer crowd here!
Ideally Id like something that came with the ability to swap cables and check the older OBDI (yeah it requires a different cable connector)and all the OBD II from 1996 to current date cars and something that will be able to stay current with upgrades

IF YOU CAN,T SMOKE THE TIRES AT WILL,FROM A 60 MPH ROLLING START YOUR ENGINE NEEDS MORE WORK!!"!
IF YOU CAN , YOU NEED BETTER TIRES AND YOUR SUSPENSION NEEDS MORE WORK!!

I wonder what you'd come up with if you could match up with a GM engine electronics factory tech. I figure you'd be home free with that connection, on more than a few tuning, reading, checking and specifications/trouble situations.

Might try contacting the various service computer/tool reader manufacturers, but that might be a lot of time consumption for not as much good, workable, unbiased input.
