I'm having trouble with my Miller MIG welder and thought there was a forum for tools etc. The only one that comes close is in and around the garage.

Is there a need, other than mine, for a forum that Chevy Talk Members can use to pass on information re what we're doing right and wrong? Tips or whatch out fors.

I can see that tips for hanging a fender on a 28 Business coupe might not be all that valuable for someone like me that doesn't have the need for that information and anyone looking for that info would go to the forum that includes a 1928 Chevrolet Business Coupe but I'm frustrated with my welder as the wire feed keeps jamming in the gun. I've always thought that it was a bad idea to push the wire through to the gun but if it works that's what matters.

Now I'm going to phone the vendor I bought it from many years ago and talk to someone I don't know and try and explain it to them and see if I can get an explanation as to why this is happening. This is not a new problem.

Your liner inside gun cable might have a burr or kink in it

I phoned the vendor and that's what he said. He went on to tell me there is a nut that holds the liner in and if I back it off I can pull out the liner. So I back it off and the liner is stuck. I didn't want to put a lot of force into it. Been there done that and break something else and still not solve the original problem. I took the gun off the machine and bring it in and he pulls on the liner and he's really working at it and finally it comes out. 2 kinks. I'm using .025 wire and they were out of stock for the liner for that wire and then he said that he thinks that the .030 liner should work. The other liner is on order, scheduled for arrival in 3 weeks. Crossing my fingers.

Thanks for the suggestion but I live in Canada. Order from U.S. it's 20 cents more on the dollar. Customs? I don't know about a cost other than someone has to figure out whether it can be exported from the states. Some places won't ship to Canada. Don't know the logic, but, it is what it is. I bought a 66 stepside,in the states through ebay. I did my homework, jumped through the hoops, went smooth. Get a widget off ebay? Nope. Can't ship there. Will ship to Alaska, but Canada???
