A voltage drop while cranking is pretty much to be expected. I don't think it will be enough to prevent the ignition system from working, but there is an easy enough way to find out.

You will need jumper cables and a separate 12V battery or another vehicle with a battery you can connect the cables to. On your truck, disconnect the existing wire from the coil and connect the (+) jumper cable to the same terminal you removed the wire from. Connect the (-) jumper cable to the (-) battery cable on your truck or to any clean spot on the engine.

Now crank the engine again. If still no spark, you know that voltage drop is not causing your problem. Unfortunately, I do not have any other suggestions for you to try.
