- dont "think" my Vac Shift is working
- is there a way to test it
- or way to re-build it?
- or...template to by-pass it

Do you have a service manual? The instructions are in there. There are kits to eliminate the vacuum shift. They come up on ebay once in a while. The large shift rod and the lever are different from the vacuum ones.

They were made by Champ products. I have one installed on mine.

- yeah, been looking for the conversion rod for over a year to fit a 46
- guess i need to get manual on CD...but often better to get current input from someone, in addition to shop manual from 1946!
