I have a friend who has a 1937 pickup and just had new suspension installed and other improvements to the truck, she needs weather striping for the doors. But what I find is that there was only weather striping at the bottom of the door. Chevy's of the 40's shows wind lace around the door jamb and not on the door itself. It that what she needs and not door weather striping?

There wasn’t any weatherstrip other than that bottom door seal used on these models. The windlace was all that was used.

Truck buyers back then did not get all the comfort items that were in the cars, after I replace the drivers door on my 37 I am going to look into seals.
