Got a pair of 7 inch "snake eye" head lights with halo LED turn signals. Ad says they fit "most" vehicles with 7 inch sealed beams and that the lights have a slightly thicker outer lip which might require some head light bucket modification. I fitted one up just to see what might be involved in installing them. Looks like it will require major surgery to the head light bucket. Has anyone here installed these? I'm hesitant to carve up my relatively new headlight buckets to get them to fit but it would be nice to have the H4 bulbs and LED halos. Any comment? I'm sure I'm not the first to try these. Maybe someone else has and possibly has pictures of the mods. The vendor I got the lights from was useless. They didn't even supply the wiring connections but I can figure that out myself.

Would it be possible to modify the lamp rims rather than the buckets? As I can't actually see the lamps, please excuse if this question sounds stupid.

No that's not an option. The extra thickness around the circumference is the LED halo.

I gave up on them...more trouble than it's worth.

I've seen people take the glass lens H4 conversion housings and pop-off the lens to install a halo ring inside them. Worked really well and the halo ring appeared as a solid color better than many of the halo's where you can see every LED.
