I am going to search but I was wondering if anyone knew how to hook up the solenoids of maybe you know of some good info on the net. I have 3 of these transmissions right now sitting in my garage. I want to put one in my original truck as my tranny is about to blow up.

Here is the stock B-W wiring diagram:
http://www.hotrodders.com/forum/attachment.php?att...

However, unless you are doing a show quality resto and are willing to pay for some rather scarce and pricey parts, there are much simpler and less expensive ways to get the job done. I can't send you a diagram of the setup I am using, but will be glad to talk with you about it. If you would like to give me a call, I am sending a PM with my phone no.

One of the best things I did in the restoration of my 1963 C10 was the installation of a manual OD transmission. I wanted to keep the truck as close to stock (manual column shift) but do something about highway drivability. I love it. 65 - 70 MPH at 2000 RPM.

My OD came out of a car and I used the side plate off my original 3 speed as the shift rods for the transmission were longer on the truck tranny than the car. This allowed for body/frame clearance for the rods going to shift column.

If you have not already talked to Ray, you should. He was great help when I did the installation. There are several post on this subject.

I haven't had the time to install the trans yet.

Ed down at Fairfield Transmission next to the PickNPull you and I used to go to, knows all about that. He was going to set mine up when I upgraded to an EFI system. He did an excellent job building that 700r4 trans I bought from Mikey. Then had no qualms about adjusting it for free after I installed it 2 YEARS LATER!

I'm not using a 700R4. It is a 3 speed Saginaw so I can keep my 3 on the tree. The unit I put it had been gone through so it is pretty much rebuilt. If it is trash I have two more to try out.

Was cruising on the freeway today at 75MPH. Felt the same as 60 without overdrive. I love it as I knew I would.

Yes, dealers just plain screwed up by not having a demo car or truck with OD. I know a test drive would have convinced a lot of potential buyers.

It really is a great change. I love mine and makes trips so much more pleasurable.

I don't know if has been previously mentioned but my transmission has two "filler" points. One on the front section and one for rear. I made sure transmission fluid was flush with both.

I only noticed one on mine. Maybe I should take another look. I have two more that will be up for sale soon.
