I recently bought a 1977 Chevy Impala in Southern California. I drove her up to northern California and she made it back. The car looks and runs great. Other than some basic maintenance the car has no mechanical problems. However I wanted to modify the engine to increase its performance. For those who live in California and deal with smog regulations you could probably shed light. I want to increase the performance and still comply with California smog standards. Can anyone suggest some great upgrades and still comply with smog. It's a 305 2 barrel engine. Has about 144,000 plus miles on the car. Or can anyone provide some advice ad to where to start looking? Looking for help.
