Between work and family time I have been working on my car when I can to get my brake swap done to the c3 corvette set up I bought a while back. After a fair amount of time and money spent refurbishing everything for this set up I have come to find that my wheels no longer fit!!! Never heard anybody mention this problem with this swap. My rims are 15 inch weld drag lites. With the massive four piston calipers sticking out so far my rims won't clear them. Not sure where to turn from here. Any of you that have made this swap, what kind of rims or back spacing do you run on your car? Would a adapter or spacer work? Not sure where to turn from here. Disheartening to say the least. Summer is slipping away fast and the car hasn't made it out of the garage.

Don't despair, this will get figured out.
There were C3's with 15" wheels, but they had 4" backspacing and 1/2" offset, so the next step is to determine how your wheels differ from those specs?

I did the C3 Corvette front brake swap last year on my 65 impala convertible. I use 15 inch Chevy ralley wheels and they work fine with the C3 brakes.

Sounds like my problem is just related to the back spacing of my current wheels. After some research I think I am just going to run a little longer wheel stud and a 3/4 inch spacer to gain the clearance I need. Eventually I will change my rims and tires but it's not in the budget at the moment. These wheels always seemed to be a bit too far inside the wheel well to me anyways.

I've seen it mentioned quite a bit and I think I even have it in the article I wrote about the conversion in the sticky section.

Same here. I have 15x6 up front with no issues.
