hello,
1991 caprice classic engine 305. fuel injection supply and return hose are same gm6264m hose. fittings are different sized. return is smaller than supply.

need to replace both hoses. should I use different sized hoses since the fittings are different or can I reuse these hoses with a specific size?

Thanks for any input.

I don't think I am understanding your question correctly. If you can find hose of the proper type and diameters to fit your connectors, why would you not want to use it?

Those who choose an automatic transmission want transportation. Those who choose a manual transmission want to drive.

both hoses have the same numbers on them and the barbed fittings are different.

not sure if I should just buy the same sized hose and whack the larger supply connector on. these appear to be factory.

Without seeing what you are working with, I think the number on the hose may indicate the hose TYPE (the spec the hose is designed to meet) and NOT the diameter. So, if your barbs are different sizes and the hose is available in diameters to fit the various barbs, I can't see any good reason not to use the correct size hose for each line.

Or, am I still not understanding your question?
