Any trick to this? Need to get the lever back up so the door will close...in the past with different cars I would just messed with the door handle, door lock , and inside door handle and it would eventually pop back up...but I haven't been able to get it to come up...it is not frozen, it does move a little bit....

Thank you in advance

Normally when this happens, all that you need to do is to hold the door handle in the "opening" position and just flip the latch up. If this doesn't work, I got nothing else.

Voted most likely to end up working at a car wash.

I'm guessing either the inside or outside door handle? I remember fixing this before in other cars this way... and I have done it 100 times so far....I guess I'll keep coating it in oil hoping that it will fix itself lol... the driver's front door and the driver's rear door took a little bit to start working correctly...but neither had this issue. Thank you for the reply.

Anyone else have an idea? Worst case scenario I guess is to remove the mechanism and put it in some cleaner or lacquer thinner and regrease it

They are spring loaded to the open position. Common problem for spring to break. Pull the claw up with your finger as you push door button. You may have to push it down to get lock to release properly.

I feel the spring tension, but it won't release... I've tried almost everything I can think of... I'll try to use the door lock button to see if that works . Little frustrated now lol

Check to see that the square part that the outside door button pushes on is making contact with button shaft. They tend to stick part way and won't return to the spot where it still makes with button shaft. If it's stuck the lock won't unlock or work right.

I will check this tonight. I know it's touching and moving the lever, but maybe not enough?

Old school hot rod friend of mine came over , asked for a screw driver....2 seconds later it was fixed and now the latch opens when the door handles are used.....I'm hoping that all the PB blaster is what loosened it up and not me looking like a idiot....but it is fixed lol
