I looks like the "Detailing and Appearance" forum has been removed so I'm posting this here.

What type of tire protectant do you use? I'd like something that's nice and black but not shiny. Any suggestions?

I use Meguiars Natural Shine on my old truck. It leaves the tires a nice satin black. For my daily drivers, I use Jax Wax Super Blue. I don't think the sheen is quite as nice as the Meguiars but it lasts much longer when driven in the rain.

I try to not use protectant on a regular basis. Simple Green full strength does the best job of cleaning I have found, and isn't as harsh on wheel covers or mag wheels compared to things like Bleeche White. When I do use a protectant, I like 303 Aerospace Protectant as it is not "oily", and seems to last a while even through washes.

He who dies with the most toys doesn't necessarily win, but had more fun getting to the finish line.

Wesleys Bleach White. Put it on a rag and wipe. Leaves a nice natural black color. Lasts a long time.

I clean mine and then spray with Armor all or Son of a gun and then wipe off the execs before it dries.

I use any of the "no touch" sprays. I'm not fond of scrubbing tires.
