After the first five outings all ended with limping home or worse, I have two positive outings under my belt.

I quit trying to save the original tank and bought a replacement. With everyone's help and advice here, I worked out the major kinks with the interior, fuel and electrical issues. The car seems reliable enough now to show off.

I took the car to a local show three weeks ago and won "Best Car". Tonight I took it to the local hot rod shop for their weekly dinner. There was a big crowd around the car. Finally all the hard work is starting to pay off.

I am finally getting to enjoy the car. Thanks again for all of your help here.

Next purchase Wide whitewall tires!

Thanks everyone, I couldn't do it without all the help here. I visited a local hot rod shop today and a cruise night this evening. I put 80 miles on the car today, and made it home! This is dangerously addictive.

It is an option for 49. Its the heavy dusty conditions air cleaner.
