The grill guard is for a newer model & has a curve at the ends.

I asked the seller the following - at bottom is his response ...

How wide is it end-to-end, please? What is the distance between the mounting points? How tall is it at the vertical black supports? How long are the bottom mounts? Those four measurements are key. The last measurement will tell me if the guard can sit car enough forward of the grill for the curved ends to not rub on the grill. Thanks

77in/31in/31in/10in

My vehicle is at the auto electric shop getting a bunch of mods, so I can't run out & measure it. I don't want to wait & miss it. BTW: He's asking $125. for the grill guard in real good shape.

WDYT? Thanks - David

My local bone-yard has 2 of em....black $25, chrome $50 (I think). So, he is asking to much.

You should be able to get them new for about $150.

That said, I just wasted 10 minutes on the internet...nobody seems to make them anymore.

You mean in general, or specific to the '86 Suburban?

Frame rails are wider apart on newer trucks. If a shop can make you plates, you should be able to mount it more forward and inside the frame rails.
