Is there a company that makes new parts for the 1953 and 1954 BelAir? I need a 1953-54 Chevrolet BelAir bell housing inspection pan for the 3 Speed transmission, but I was hoping to find a new and perhaps a chrome one.

I've never seen one being reproduced. But that doesn't mean someone isn't making them.

Hi bgrimes,
Welcome to Chevy Talk. I have one from my '50 that may work for you. It's in pretty good shape. If you're interested, maybe someone could verify that it would work for you.

Thank you for your response and sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I couldn't verify if the 50's pan would fit the 54 or not.

I did find a 54 pan, though and it looks different based on you photos, but I couldn't tell if it was significantly different or not. Not as nice as yours. Couple of minor dents that I will have to hammer out and then repaint it.

Go on line to "Old car manuals on line" and check the master parts cataloug for parts numbers of the two items.

The parts book shows only one part no for 49-54.
