I need help from the electric/wiring gurus please! I just installed a new factory fit wiring harness from aaw. I had it made for an internal regulated alternator and flagged for a Pertronix distributor. My ignition switch worked previously so I don't think it's a bad switch. I just don't know what to look for. Battery is charged, starter is wired per assembly manual diagram. Horn relay is hooked up. Hooked up head lights and they don't work either. Brand new grounds...I'm at a loss but wiring is my nemesis, that's why I went factory fit. Can anyone help? What am I missing? Thank you

Did you change the battery cables also? There should be a 80" secondary coming off the positive cable head to the horn relay. If it is not there, you will have no 12 volt to anything in the car.

That's why I had no power. When I ran a wire from the battery to the horn relay and connected the wires for the neutral safety switch the engine turned over. Thanks!

You need a new battery cable. What happened, and I've seen it a million times, is someone cut it out of their original cable and left it in the car, but when you replace the front light, and that that is part of that harness, it gets tossed and you have now power feed any longer.

Can you give me a part number for the cables I need? Is there a fusible link in it somewhere? Someone mentioned I would need one.

The factory cables did not use Fusible link until 1967, so, no, it won't have a fusible link in series. You could always splice one in if you so desired. Is your car a V-8? A/C or no?

It's a 327 and it has A/C.

I wont worry about a fusible link if it's not supposed to be there.
