Does anyone have a good resource or method to locate a specific car via the VIN/Serial #? I am trying to find my father's original 1964 Impala SS convertible. I have the entire VIN/Serial # including the series in the production... except the plant of production.

The plant were the car was built is in the serial number.

Finding a car today is not easy with protections now in place.
You could sent a request to your state vehicle department ( if that is allowed) to see if the car is still in the state.
I did it in South Dakota years ago.
I am not sure that other states allow these requests.

I have a huge database of original VINS. Send me your VIN via a PM and I'll see if I have it listed.

Welcome to CT carends. Hope you can track down your dad's car. Was it a PG or 4-speed car?
