excellent...but I'd forget about it until I heard it hitting the pavement behind me at 70 mph!

Happy to be alive....

A couple of old Chevys and the old CJ 5. What more could I need.

Beautiful color. Almost looks like sea foam green, is that correct?

Also, is this a two stage paint, or a single stage?

Looks like you're doing nice work!

Also, are you not going to run the eyebrows and chrome trim?

I'm looking at going with sea foam green with an ivory top.

I have primed and blocked three times now. Will prime again tomorrow (sunday), on the fenders, hood and tailgate.

I have went through 3 gallons of primer, starting on my 4th gallon. I'm sanding (blocking) so much off just trying to ensure that the body is straight.

I can't wait to actually get color on it.

Pat

Good work man. That's the most important part of a final product that looks PERFECT.

Stay with it.

Thanks bud!

I'm new at this and I want it to be a quality paint job.

Fortunately I have an experienced friend helping me out, but none the less, we are spending a lot of time on the car!

It's PPG base coat Regal Turquoise, the top is India Ivory. Not going to run the side trim,I like the 55 Nomad's better without it. I went thru a few gallons of primer also, recommend using a 30" long board where you can. When she feels good and flat with no imperfections squirt it! I shot a seal coat, three coats of color, and three coats of sealer. Plan on finishing interior this winter. Hope you paint turns out good for you!

Thanks Bud!

Your car looks great! Very nice job!

And I have two of the 30" long-boards, and we used the heck out of them. I'm hoping and anticipating that it will come out good.

Hi Pat,

I purchased one gallon of each of the base-coat colors.
Used about 1/2 gal. of white and 3/4 gal. of turquoise just on the outside.
