Howdy all, New guy here. I have a question I'm betting one or 57 of you can answer. I have a '69 C20 with a factory 396. I've only driven it a few times but I go out and start it every day or two or three. I recently fired it up and after idling for a minute or so it died and I haven't been able to get it started again. I've found that there is no spark from the coil. I replaced the condenser with no change. This coil is the 1.5 Ohm with external resistor. The coil tests as being good with a multi-meter. I bought a new coil but have not installed it as I'm suspecting that the external resistor is the culprit. My question: Can I replace the original coil with one that has the internal resistor? If yes, are there any that you would recommend over others? I appreciate any and all info I can get. Thanks! - Dan
