Without going into all the details of discussions I had before purchase about why this kit, I purchased a Highway 22 kit to use in my '61 Bubbletop, which has a lot of add on stuff.

I need to wire the parking lights. I don't have the original connector with wires from the backside of the parking light housing. I called in there today to ask about purchasing that, and they said they didn't have anything...that the kit would be wires that would be spliced to existing old wires for the housing.

However, it appears to me that AAW does have what I would need: it would be parts that come in the 510063 Wiring Kit for Impala, from bag 510067. Looking at the instruction sheet for the wiring kit 510063, I would need :

  • 2 Boot K
  • 2 terminal J
  • 2 lamp socket G
  • 2 Item N: Interestingly, this part is not referenced in the instructions, but it obviously is needed.

Is there any way that I can purchase these parts?

Never mind. I presumed an earlier response. I have called in.

For reference for other readers...they would not sell me the components. I had to purchase a complete front light harness.

Sorry, but I just now saw this. We do not sell individual items per say, the sales person you spoke with is correct. We get these call all the time, especially from folks who have purchase a competitor's product. They get hammered all day long about selling someone this or that only. In your instance, there is a fix however.

Actually we do have new pigtails that you can buy. They are not listed in the catalog, and will not have the exact wire colors in them, but we do make a pigtail we can sell you. The part number is 37019. The cost is is $10.00 each and you will need 2. The pig-nose boot is also available separately as P/N 500165. The cost is $8.00 each and you will need 2. You'll still have to splice these to the front turn signal wires in the Hwy 22 kit.

Donny

Donnie...appreciate the input.

But I have already ordered the full headlight package. They did give me a break on the price once I provided proof of purchase of the AAW Highway 22.

Seems my luck on this, with two different reps from my calling in, wasn't as good as what you provided.

I guess I was too anxious to get something going.
