I am installing a highway 22 system from AAW. But my question is about grounding.

I am using the trunk extension battery mount kit as well. Will it suffice to run the ground wire from the battery to the frame at the back, then groundstraps from the engine block to the frame, and another from the transmission to the frame ?

I suppose I should also do some type of grounding to the body.

If the battery is in the trunk as you describe, you may be able ground the negative to the frame back there, but it really isn't optimal, no. We give you that long negative cable to ground back up to the block because that is far more efficient to do. The engine should then be grounded to the body and the frame both. This will give you give the best performance. Of course, that is assuming this is a steel car (not fiberglass) and doesn't have a ton of powder coating and two stage paint on it. Let me know more and I can address this further. Almost better to call me to discuss the intimate details, but that is your choice. Good luck with your build!

I appreciate your input, Donnie. I would like to call and discuss. Do I just call the general number, select tech support, them ask for you?
