My brake pedal goes right down to the floor (very slight pressure and resistance) There is no evidence of leakage or loss of fluid from the master.

Is this indicative of a bad master, booster or both. If i need to replace it are there certain types or makes that are recommended or preferred?

Thanks

Could just be lots of air in the system. Has the system been opened up or needed fluid lately? If not, it is probably the master cylinder. A bad booster just gives a hard pedal with the engine running.
