On my 1954 Belair 4 door, is there a number or a code where I can find the original car and interior colors? If there is, where is it?

Thanks in advance.
Jim

I did find the tag under the hood and found the paint codes. I want to find the color codes for the carpet and the seats. The code is 541 for the exterior.

according to my information, The paint code 541 is a DUCO code 246-57332 for Surf Green.
If I read the color chart correctly, the upper dash and garnish mouldings are DUCO code 246-2048 Onyx Black and the lower dash and shifter assembly is Surf Green. If your car is a Bel Air then the Rear Fender panel is 246-57337 India Ivory.
Trim code 306 is green cloth

Trim number 306 is for a 210 sedan. Not for the Bel Air series.u
If you have a green Bel Air the interior would have a medium vinyl and dark green seat trim, green carpets amd Bermuda green dash, steering wheel, window garnish mouldings and the very lower part of the dash ivory. Bermuda green is an exterior color also and is a medium greem.
Your exterior should be Surf Green whichis a light green.

The trim number definitely says 306. It is a 4 door. The dash is Bermuda green with a lighter green for the lower part. The outside is a single tone light blue similar to tgoss's.

A 1954 4 door 210 in Surf Green [top center] is featured in the 1954 Chevrolet brochure below [click the link for a larger version].

The 210 interior is pictured below, however not in the Trim Code of 306. You'd have to substitute light green where the patterned light gray fabric is and dark green where the dark gray fabric is [click the LINK below for a larger version].

Gene, I am a little confused. I took my information from the paint color chart and I don’t know if you are correcting my information or adding to it. Flameridge supplied the paint and trim codes of 541 and 306. The color chart states that paint code 541 is a single color of surf green and is used on the 2100 and 2400 series cars. I did misread about the onyx black though, it was for the dash on a 1500 series car. Is the information on the color chart incorrect?

And ya know what? Call SMS auto fabrics right there in your state, http://www.smsautofabrics.com/ CALL them, don't email them. Ask for the sample package for your year. Their fabric and carpet is thee best, most accurate and quality, it might take a while to get once you order, but hands down better. My wifes '54 we ordered samples from every outfit that would supply one. They won. i just ordered for my '58 truck, my '50 wagon, and they'll probably have our '36 fabric too.

and if you need a better picture of any of those above, let me know. Thats a dealer book that was in, dealerships, actual samples, both paint and fabric, all models, in perfect condition

I would love anything that is from that era about the car. It helps with where it came from in that time without going back in a DeLorean. I bought the car to keep a piece of the past alive.
Thank you for the website, I'll give them a call.

Jim,

As you work out the color combinations, let me know if you find the name of the third green in the interior. I have a post here for that, but so far, no help.

I will let you know Scott. I wonder if there would be a way to contact GM for something like that? Somewhere, they would have to have the information.
