I'm replacing the stock 235 in my 53 belair with a 1968 250 straight 6. I know I cant use my stock motor mounts because they are too tall. I'm trying to find a motor mount kit for this engine for this car. Having a hard time. Any help please. ?
thanks

There is a member here who installed a 292 in his vehicle.
Mike W, I believe. I'll look for info on this swap.

Langdon's used to sell a set of mounting parts for these engines, but it isn't on their website any more.
However, if you have moderately good fab skills, you can make a new set of engine brackets which will let you install the engine with the stock 53 frame brackets and cushions.
The procedure would be very much like installing a 58-62 235 in these cars. We have a member here, rrausch, who did exactly that and posted some very good pics of how he did it.

Good news! These appear to be the same as the Langdon's parts, or at least very much like them.

The member I mentioned is Mike JW. His car is a 1950, with a 292.
Click on this link, then scroll down for his comments on his own conversion project.
