Hey guys. I'm still around. The cars running, driving and doing burnouts. No video yet. I was so busy the last month or so I haven't updated with any photos. Sorry. I'm working my real job long hours and when this finishes up in a few weeks I catch everyone up on pics.

She's far from complete, but she's streetable and ready to shake the bugs out of her.

Thanks for the understanding

Short video of the second drive around the hood. My wife shot this without my knowledge or I would have done a burnout. http://youtu.be/goxamaVgcT0

Sorry guys it's been awhile since updating, I've been busy with odds and ends on the car, but mostly driving. Here are a few photos. I used a f-body shifter and modified it with a soild linkage and extended lever. I wanted to use a stock shifter to utilize the reverse lock out, parking lights and the signal to the pcm for park.

I still need to make a center console.

Here are a couple of the air ride system.

I repaired the fender, the piece on top was the rot I cut out.

And a couple in da weeds. Laying frame and rockers.

Enjoy

What kind of instrument do you have in the clock position? Could you please post a pic? Thank you.

Ray, that is an elcheapo tach from one of the parts stores. I'll get a pic this evening and try to find the model/part #. The chrome bezeled one would look better, but was out of stock and I was in a hurry; didn't want to over rev the 235.

Thank you. I am trying to get ideas about which tachs work well in a stock 53-54 cluster, so will look forward to seeing your pic.

Ray, sorry for the quality. This camera or operator should be able to do better. The tach is an Equus 2-1/2" model # 6086, not the prettiest; but it serves the purpose. A chrome one would look much nicer. I bought the cheapest one I could find just to set the idle speed of the 235 and to make sure I didn't over rev it. I would assume any 2-1/2" would fit. I had to file the inside of the clock bezel to make it fit and I added a hose clamp to the back to secure it. Hasn't moved. Hope this helps.

Sorry to jump in but i have the perfect solution for the tach. Got a custom made tach from speedhut to look almost exactly like the factory clock. It's programmable as well so it works with a 6 or 8 cyl. They even let me send in the clock center disc and they put it for me. I can't post pics on here but if anybody wants to see what it looks like pm me your e-mail and I'll send you a few. Once someone has a picture they're more than welcome to post it up.

Nothing new really, just been enjoying the drives; still plenty to do.
I was asked by a PM to post some photos of the front wheel wells. This is the best I can get.

Far from done Willy. I got the body back on the frame Sunday and got her running again a couple days ago. I had her apart to clean up underneath and spray on some undercoating/sound deadener. Added Dynamat to the interior and rebuilt the wiring harness over the winter, filled the holes in the firewall also among other small projects. I'll try to get some pics soon. Thanks for checking in.
