Building a 54 Chev 5 window P/U cab on a 41 Chev car frame. It now has a 10 GM open rear end. I'm looking for a posi. The obviuos Ford 9 inchers are too wide. The 10 bolt I have now is 54 inches plate to plate. Any suggestions as to which rear end to use without a lot of modifications? If I use a 9 inch I will need to shorten axle tube then get shorter axles. Is this a pricey thing to do? How wide is a Camaro?

Probably posting your question in th eproper format would get you some answers, I doubt that the folks who frequent the 1920s format have any answers for you.
