All,
Back on July 6th. Johnny, from Richmond, VA replied to FOAMER about a fix for our SS console doors that don't spring up when the release button is pushed. I just got around to working on mine and found I "tip" for making Johnny's fix work better.
After bending the springs as much as I dared, the door still would not spring up. More "spring" was needed and if I broke the existing springs I would be up that well known tributary. I cut two 1" pieces of 1/8" washer tubing and glued them behind the springs. Now the door comes up as it should. Back to the garage! Bill
