I have a 1991 GMC Sierra with a 5.7L. I have a check engine code 32, egr system problem. I have checked the valve and hoses, all check fine. My question is, does this vehicle have a egr solenoid pressure sensor?
The routing is as follows. One hose from TBI to egr solenoid. From the solenoid to the egr valve. One hose from TBI to pvc valve in valve cover, one hose from TBI to canister, one hose from MAP sensor to TBI. Does this seem correct? The routing matches the diagram I have.
This egr error is stumping me. Can I check anything else? I have followed the guide in the FAQ, still having the problem.

No, there is no pressure switch for the EGR. Have you replaced the EGR recently? If you have than you want to check that you have the correct one. Its a common problem for people to have the incorrect EGR from the store.

How do I determine which one is the correct one if I dont have the original one?

If you've got the regular style EGR solenoid like pictured in my write-up, and the truck is a half ton '91 5.7, the Delphi EGR valve for your truck should be the EG10099. They're about $75 locally most places but you can order them online for around $50.

I have the same style egr solenoid. I realized the hose from the solenoid was plugged into the non-barbed vent. I fixed the configuration and now the truck stalls under part throttle and when I lift off the throttle the rpm drops almost to zero and stalls. Is there another part or sensor to check?
