Ive searched around the web and just cant find a wiring diagram to help make sense of this thing. I just cant figure out what each wire would be for. There is 7 wires, one is of course for the lightbulb that is of course clear. There is 3 different settings and it looks like for each of the settings two wires are being selected. Which makes sense (front and back for either the left or right side) but when its in the non signaling position what are those two middle wires?. Im a little confused on this, can anyone help ? Anyone got a diagram that I can make sense of ? Where does the flasher play into this ? Photos are bellow.
Cant figure out how to adapt what I need to do after looking at this http://chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com/accessories/1...

Using the process of elimination, and a ohm/volt meter, in the middle postion of the blinker swith, find 3 wires that are connect, ie "0" ohms. One of thes wires will be from brake pedal switch, and two of the wires will be to the stop lights/rear turn signal. Mark all three wires so you know it is the STOP LIGHT circuit. Now, put the switch in either the left or right postion. Check each of the three wire from first operation for "0" ohms to one of the remaining 4 wires. One of the first three wire should mate up with one of the remaining four. The wire that it mates up with will be the wire to the FRONT turn signal for that side. Mark them so that you know they go together. Now, put blinker switch all the way to the other direction and do the same for the remaining 2 wires from the first check. When you find it's mate, mark them as a pair for the other side of the car. The remain wire from the first operation will be the brake switch wire.Mark that wire for "Brake Switch". You already have the light wire so the remaining unmarked wire is the power wire from the flasher unit. SEE NOTE
Seven wire,
1 from flasher,
2 for one side of car,
2 for other side of car,
1 for brake switch
1 for light.
NOTE: If, you wind up 3 wires with "0" ohms when you check for the front lights (steps two and three) then the one wire that is common to both left and right side should be the power wire from flasher
Oh, can't tell you about left/right, but maybe you can figure that out from the blinker switch position.
Hope this helps and you can understand my instructions
