On the upper control arm shaft that mounts to the frame, does the long end go to the front or the back of the unit?

There is a slight bend in the loop of the shaft, that bend is to allow clearance for the steering shaft. Make sure you got that right before.

You can see the steering shaft passes close to the control arm shaft. It is hard to see, but there is an outward bend to part of the loop where the steering shaft disappears behind the control arm shaft loop.


Steering shaft is not installed in this picture, but you can see the bend a bit better near the exhaust manifold.



Look carefully, and you can see the bend. Almost looks like a shadow.
