It would be 33 inches tall with 12.5 inches of tread contact on the ground. Tire sizes always confused me when you get to the other sizes. They run tread width/height by rim size. So a 275/65R16 would be 275 millimeters of tread, the sidewall height would be 65% of the treadwidth and then a 16 inch rim.

actually,i think that would be 12.50 inches at the wides part (cross section) of the tire,not necessarily tread on the ground.i just went and measured my 33/12.50/15 tires on my gmc and the tread is 10 inches in width.
same for the pmetric tires. the 275 would be the cross section, not the tread width. tire height (from rim to outside of tire) would be 65% of cross section.
