Calling all 3 speed Manual Transmission Specialists!

I am replacing the 3 speed Manual Transmission in my 58 Delray with another date correct non syncro. I screwed up when I removed the side cover with the shift arms. I wanted to Inspect the shift forks for wear and didn't take the time to fully study the correct placement of the rear fork.

The rear fork is offset and I need to know which way. Is it offset to the front or the back. I also found out it is much easier to have the cover removed in order to tighten the 3/4 " Tranny to Bellhousing Bolts. I am at a standstill until I find out which is the correct placement. Also, correct me if I'm wrong but do both shift arms point down? I have a 3 speed Column Shifter.

Thanks!!

The rear fork (first and reverse fork) is offset forward or with the "hump" toward the rear. Both levers point downwards.

Both shift arms point down, though they move depending on the gear you're in, of course.
